I never thought that I could play drums, but now I have just completed WDII under the patient guidance of my Coach. I am very thankful for his attention to detail and he is always encouraging his students to press on and believe in themselves. The curriculum is also very progressive and excellently crafted. As an educator myself, I am very impressed by the course structure. It is very organised and well-scaffolded such that students progress step-by-step and progress eventually to a certain level of competency. Excellent! Coach will also share his own personal testimony and stories; this time of sharing also impacts us in our own journey with God. Thank you so much, Coach!

I never thought I would learn drums, but ever since my first interaction with it in church, it got me interested and wanted to learn more; so I signed up with Believer Music as one of my church friends also studied here. I am a slow learner and do not have any music background. I am glad that my Coach is very patient towards his students to ensure that they get their basics right. I enjoy my lessons and am learning many different techniques. Looking forward to growing more in playing this instrument!

Upon continuing learning drums in WDI, I was looking forward to growing further but somehow did not have a great excitement. However, I still decided to enter the new term prayerfully, for God to guide the lessons and trust in His plans for me. During the first lesson with the coach, through the prayer, learning, and scripture sharing in the class, about worshipping God with all we have because of who He is, I felt encouragement from the Holy Spirit building in my spirit and a yearning to play the drums well to worship God earnestly. I felt a resurgence of enjoyment and purpose in playing the drums too. I thank God for what He has enabled the Believer Music Team to do for His kingdom, and am looking forward to more accomplishments! Keep fighting the good fight!

After about 6 months of drum lessons at Believer Music, I started playing the drums in my church’s worship band by applying the rhythms I learnt in class. Many thanks to my drum coach for guiding us patiently all the way since Primer class. I look forward to continue honing my drum skills to serve God and His people.

The group class provided me with an incredible experience! Despite my lack of knowledge in playing instruments, I was able to learn and read notes by the end of the course. The mentors were both patient and focused on incorporating faith into their teaching, which added to my enjoyment of the overall experience.

Get the muscle memory first, there you go! Very good!” He is concerned that his students master the right techniques. He is also very patient in making sure I understand how to play correctly.

I’ve been in Basic and WD1 Classes with my coach. I am so happy that I chose Believer Music for my drum program. I had the opportunity to learn the basic steps and am able to play some songs by the end of my first drum program. I would like to thank my coach for being so patient and teaching me all the basics. He is always there to correct me and his style of teaching is amazing. He is a blessing to many people like me. Hi, I’m at the Primer level, and because I am completely new to drumming, I learnt much during the 11-week module. More importantly, the lesson is injected with careful, curated scriptural inspiration that I receive weekly through the coach, besides the printed materials. This is a powerful way of bringing myself to God in the learning of worship drumming. I am still wrestling with the basics while enjoying it. I will want to pick it up again in July. Finally, I would like to thank Believer Music for giving me a free module to start off this interest.

Back in 2017, there was a sudden need of drummers at the church I am serving. As I've always dreamt to be able to play the drums, I saw it as an opportunity to pick up this instrument. However, being in my late 30s, I wasn't sure if I would make it. So I decided to sign up for the XPTrial Program to see if I was really up for it. After the first lesson, I felt so liberated being able to play a simple rhythm! I could only wish I had learned drums earlier! Before I knew it, 1 year 8 months has passed and I completed my last lesson in AWDIV yesterday. It was a bittersweet moment bidding goodbye to my classmates and Coach, knowing we won't be seeing each other at the same time, the same place next week onwards. Nonetheless, with the friendship we have forged with one another, we know we will definitely meet up again. Our coach was very dedicated in his teaching. He understood well the strengths and weaknesses of his students and was able to creatively adjust the lessons to cater to the needs of individuals. He was also inspiring and encouraging and because of that, I was able to step forward and start serving in my church's worship band as a drummer, even though I had barely started classes for the WDII module. One thing that sets Believer Music apart from other music schools is the sharing sessions and the studying of God's Word at the end of each lesson. It played a big part in helping me seek the Lord deeper and in understanding my calling/given purpose in life. Now that I am done with the Drums program, I'm looking at exploring other instruments. And I will not hesitate recommending Believer Music to anyone who wants to pick up an instrument and wanting to find a deeper meaning to life.
